We will be opening a community run shop & café at the Centre. We have now received planning permission for the change of use from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. We are currently working on the technical details and building regulations stage of the project, we will then thoroughly cost and get quotes for the work required and applying for the large grants to fund it.

The shop will stock a range of everyday essentials and local produce where possible to support local small businesses & reduce food miles.
In addition we aim to reduce plastic packaging through responsible purchasing and refill options.
Being community-owned means we have the flexibility to stock items and sell in any way that the community wants to support.

In addition to the shop, the café will provide drinks, locally made cakes and snacks.

This will enable people to meet up and chat, and make use of the free wi-fi.

The shop & café will be staffed by volunteers, so the hours we can open will depend on the community being prepared to get involved.
